Vintage + General

Our Nostalgia Day will bring entertainment for all to Durham Market Place and Walkergate on Monday 1st May, 2017.

As part of a fun-filled weekend (see our Uniformed Services Fun Day on Sunday 30th April) we've got themed entertainment and activities in the Market Place and Walkergate on Bank Holiday Monday. As well as a Vintage and General Market in the Market Place, we'll have the World War II living history group Yesterday's Heroes, with military vehicles and supplies, and entertainment from Jay B. In Walkergate, you can enjoy the swing sounds of big band Echo 42.

Also in the city centre, you'll find the Beamish 'Heartbeat' Bus in attendance together with members of the United Enthusiasts Club who know just about all there is to know about the history of the region's buses.

The Market Hall will also be open from 11am to 4pm with the traders in theme costume!
