Outdoor Market

Outdoor Market - Saturday 18th March

The Outdoor Market will be back, with loads of stalls lining up and open for business from 9am in Durham Market Place on Saturday 18th March.

Additionally, of course, the Market Hall will be open from 9am too - so please come and shop at both markets, and support Durham's local independent businesses.

And for St Cuthbert's Day, you'll have the Regional Food and Drink Market to visit in the Cloisters of Durham Cathedral.

Other St Cuthbert’s Day celebrations include the annual Northumbrian Society walk from St Mary’s and St Cuthbert’s Church in Chester-le-Street. The walkers will arrive in the Market Place at approximately 1.30pm.   A little later, from there and following St Cuthbert's Banner, they will process to the Cathedral where walkers will be welcomed into the Cathedral at 2.15pm for a prayers at the Shrine of St Cuthbert.

So, this Saturday in Durham, enjoy all the city has to offer and all our markets  - loads of choice, loads of dedicated and knowledgeable traders, all ready and willing to serve you however they can.
