Farmers and Producers - July

Durham Farmers' & Producers' Market

From 9am on Thursday 20th July, the Farmers' and Producers' Market returns to the Market Place, bringing a fabulous selection of locally produced food and drink, hand-crafted items, art and more.

It's a great opportunity to support independent local businesses, ensure low food miles, and shop with traders who know all about what they're selling.

The Market will be open from 9am until approximately 4pm, or earlier if the stalls sell out (which sometimes happens).

Here's who you'll find at this Thursday's Farmers' and Producers' Market:

Broom House Farm - Aberdeen Angus beef, lamb & pork from this local organic farm

Westholme Farm - locally reared beef and lamb, as well as sausaged and burgers

Sues Florals - plants

Earth & Fire - wood-fired artisan bakery

HedKed Handicrafts - wood turning and carving, pyrography and more

ECC - hog roast and hot lunches

Phi Food - Greek food

The Green Guerilla - vegetarian and vegan street food

Geordie Bangers - hand-crafted sausages

RSPB

Tailor Doll - pre-loved fashion

Charlie's Country Kitchen - a variety of pies

Bark Chocolate - hand-crafted chocolates

TOC - hand-crafted organic soaps

Forget Me Not Celebrations - personalised handmade gifts

Low Murton Farm - locally produced foods

Cafe Alfresco

National Trust - raising awareness

Manzano - artisan Spanish foods

We'll also have the Federation of City Farms and Community Gardens with us for the day, letting you find out more about what they do!

We're open from 9am - and we look forward to seeing you!
