Farmers' & Producers' Market on Thursday (17 May)

Come to one of our Love Your Local Market events - as we join the national Love Your Local Market fortnight.

From 9am on Thursday 17th May, the Farmers' and Producers' Market returns to the Market Place, bringing an impressive selection of locally produced food and drink, hand-crafted items, art and more.

This market is a great opportunity to support local independent businesses, ensure low food miles, and shop with traders who know all about what they're selling. Come and ask them all about their produce.

The Market will be open from 9am until approximately 4pm, or earlier if the stalls sell out (which sometimes happens).

Here's who you'll find at this Thursday's Farmers' and Producers' Market:

Broom House Farm - Aberdeen Angus beef, lamb & pork from this local organic farm

Westholme Farm - locally reared beef and lamb, as well as sausaged and burgers

Durham Vintage - pre-loved fashion

Charlie's Country Kitchen - a variety of pies

Manzana - Spanish foods

Screaming Chimp - chilli sauces

TOC - hand-crafted organic soaps

Dalton Moor Farm - homemade preserves, pies and baked goods

Stray Aid - promoting the charity's work

Earth & Fire Bakery - baked goods

Handknitted Pottery - handcrafted domestic pottery

Andy Rowan - handcrafted truffles

LA Designer Flowers - faux flowers

Pure Scent - home fragrance products

Need for Tweed - gifts and homewares made from tweed

We're open from 9am - and we look forward to seeing you!
