DMC not only owns and operates the indoor market in Durham but also operates a number of other events.

INDOOR MARKET HALL

The indoor market hall is open Monday – Saturday, 9am – 5pm, with over 60 stalls offering a wide range of goods. Traders occupy their stalls on a weekly licence from £78 for an 8’ x 4’ stall which is inclusive of VAT and all service charges.

SATURDAY OUTDOOR RETAIL MARKET

We operate the Saturday outdoor retail market on behalf of Durham City Council. There are over 30 stalls throughout the Market Place adding colour and vitality to the usual Saturday 'hustle and bustle'. Please contact Jo in the Market Office on 0191 384 6153 for further information.

FARMERS’ MARKET

This is held the 3rd Thursday of every month in the Market Place. Over 20 traders attend each event so you can be assured of quality local foods direct from the producer. The market starts at 8.30am and usually trades until 3.30pm or until sold out if sooner.
