Durham's Market Hall is the beating heart of Durham, with over 50 independent traders offering a wide range of foods, services and goods.
The beautifully restored, Victorian indoor Market Hall is open from Monday to Saturday from 9am.
Many of our traders source their goods locally, so by shopping at the Market, you can help the local community and contribute to the local economy.
We offer easy access for the disabled and those with buggies with ramp access from the Market Place, baby-change and disabled facilities on the ground floor, and a lift to both mezzanine level and Walkergate at the rear. Please note, assistance dogs only are permitted in the Market Hall.
Our traders are much loved throughout the city, and many have proud and long histories in the Market Hall. Several of our retailers have been with us for over 30 years, while Garnham's Pet Supplies has been with us for over 60 years and is still thriving!
The Market Hall includes 14 food outlets as well as an acclaimed bistro, Cafe Cenno, where you can enjoy their wonderful home cooking and enjoy free wifi.
