Durham Market Hall

Durham's Market Hall is the beating heart of Durham, with over 50 independent traders offering a wide range of foods, services and goods.

The beautifully restored, Victorian indoor Market Hall is open from Monday to Saturday from 9am. We offer easy access for the disabled and those with buggies with ramp access from the Market Place, baby-change and disabled facilities on the ground floor, and a lift to both mezzanine level and Walkergate at the rear.

All our traders source their goods locally, so by shopping at the Market, you can be sure that you are helping the local community and contributing to the local economy.

Our traders are much loved throughout the city, and many go back a long way. Several of our retailers have been with us for over 30 years, while Garnham's Pet Supplies has been with us for over 60 years and is still thriving!

The Market Hall includes 14 food outlets as well as an acclaimed bistro, Cafe Cenno, one of very few places in Durham to offer free wifi facilities to its customers.

For a full list of our traders and further information on their stalls, please see the 'Find A Trader' page, accessible via the Tab above.
