Durham Markets Company
Welcome to Durham Markets.
Durham Markets Company has been operating markets in Durham City since 1851.
We own and operate Durham Market Hall, winner of Best Private Market in the UK, as well as operating a variety of other markets and events, both in Durham and in the North East. These include:
- Durham City Farmers Market in the Market Place, held every third Thursday of the month from 9am
- Durham's Saturday Outdoor Retail Market, in the Market Place every Saturday from 9am
- Durham City Christmas Festival, taking place on the first full weekend in December
Plus occasional Continental Markets, Evening Markets and Sunday and Bank Holiday Markets in the Market Place.
We are pleased to announce that we have places available at two special markets in May 2014, as part of the national Love Your Local Market campaign.
On Sunday 11th May, we have our second Youth Market. For young traders, aged between 16 and 26(ish) this is the opportunity to bring their idea and test it with a 'buying public'. Anyone interested should complete this application form.
And, on Sunday 25th and Monday 26th May, we have our Vintage and Nostalgia Market. This is a great opportunity for vintage, nostalgia and antique traders to make the most of Bank Holiday Weekend in Durham City, where there will be, alongside the market, entertainment from World War II re-enactors, period military vehicles and live music. Alternatively, please email email@example.com if you are unable to open/ download/ print the relevant form.
